September 11, 2003

ChicaGourmets! hosts:
Janice Gerstein & Jerry Packer
The movie "Big Night," released in 1996 and starring Stanley Tucci, Tony Shalhoub, Isabella Rossellini and Minnie Driver, protrayed an over-the-top evening of food and wine served in a small Italian restaurant on the east coast.

ChicaGourmets! is pleased to present a Chicago re-creation of this gala feats at RoSal's, a 13-year-old restaurant on the West Side which has been highly rated by Zagat.

Roseanne and Salvatore Perry prepare the Big Night Dinner Feast on the morning of the event. They arrive at 6:00 AM to start the baked goods, marinate the chicken, and prepare the Timpano, which is the star of the evening. To learn more about this beautiful and unique dish, please join us for a memorable celebration.

RoSal's want their guests to remember the sounds, aromas and flavors of the "Old Neighborhood." They are dedicated to providing fresh, homemade Sicilian food, prepared with love — that is their "secret" to success.

Price is $59 per person, for members, or $69 for non-members.
