An online dining/eating discussion web site for people who insist they're not foodies... but more adventurous than foodies! The Chicago Area discussion board had been full of good information, if a little chaotic, but recently many of the most informed participants have moved to the lthforum.com discussion instead. We cater to the female gender because, according to statistics, there are more and more women who are in charge of making wine purchases currently, whether it is for home, a special event or a work-related dinner. Pour Magazine Chicago will focus on wine and food pairing advice, provide readers with wine reviews and recommendations and offer behind the scenes coverage of wine related events in the Chicagoland area. Green Grocer Chicago, located at 1402 W. Grand, features organic and locally produced foods, as well as some unique specialty items. Through extensive research, we have gathered the most delicious, healthiest and indulgent foods possible!

This group, founded by Bill Lavery, offers opportunities for both cooking and dining. More often they meet in the Chicago suburbs, but sometimes in the city as well. They offer food- related trips. They also have partnered with ChicaGourmets! on some events, as well.
One of their successful events have been "restaurant tours", which begin with first-class coaches departing from suburban locations, and finding their way to Chicago restaurants in the Spring and Summer months. Northwest suburban restaurants are visited in the Fall, and West suburban restaurants in the Winter. Cash bars are available each stop of the way.

To fund her late-night vinous habits, Natalie MacLean holds down day jobs as a wine writer, speaker and judge. An accredited sommelier, she is a member of the National Capital Sommelier Guild, the Wine Writers Circle and several French wine societies with complicated and impressive names. Her unswerving goal in life is to intimidate those crusty wine stewards at fine restaurants with her staggering knowledge. |
